Surf was epic in Ericeira.
We had days of pumping waves, paddled ourselves to exhaustion, and now… the ocean looks like a mess. Forecast is trash. Time to store the boards? Yeah, but that doesn’t mean doing nothing.
This is reset time— the part of the cycle where you get stronger, smarter, and ready for the next run of swell. The that separates the surfers who stay sharp from the ones who lose momentum. What you do now decides how ready you’ll be when the ocean turns back on.
🏋️♂️Train: Strength, mobility, cardio. Keep your body dialed so you don’t start from zero when the waves return.
🌬️Breathe: Apnea, breath control. Hold-downs aren’t getting any easier, but you can get better at handling them.
🎯Analyze & Adjust: Look at what worked (and what didn’t) in your last sessions. Fix the mistakes now, not in the water.
🗒️Tick Off the To-Do List: All the stuff you ignored because surfing was too good. Now’s your chance to catch up on work, life admin, or even just fix that ding you’ve been pretending doesn’t exist.
The ocean will turn back on soon. What you do now decides how ready you’ll be.
