2025 is about leveling up—improving the way we coach, building a stronger community, and making backYARD an even better place for surfers who want more than just training.
This year, we’re putting our focus where it matters: structure coaching, more efficient training, and a deeper connection to the sport. We’re also working on new projects to take backYARD further, from a dedicated training space to surf trips, community events, and finally launching our own merch.

This year, we’re putting more emphasis on coaching because we believe it’s the key to long-term, sustainable progress. At the same time, we’ll continue to include training sessions as an essential part of our programs to support your development.

We’re developing a dedicated space to host workouts, workshops, and other activities that complement your surf training. Surfing is more than just time in the water—it’s about mobility, strength, and mental preparation, and this studio will bring all of that together.
👕 Merch is Finally Happening
For years, we’ve wanted to create something that represents backYARD beyond the water. Now, we’re finally making it happen. Our first line of tees, crewnecks, caps, and stickers is coming soon—simple, clean, and true to who we are. No gimmicks, no fluff.
🤝 A Stronger Community
backYARD has always been about more than just coaching—it’s about the people, the stoke, and the culture. This year, we’re making a bigger effort to bring everyone together through events, gatherings, and opportunities to connect beyond the lineup. Expect more workshops, meet-ups, and community-driven experiences.
✈️ Surf Trips Are Coming
More waves. More training. More breakthroughs. We’re running surf trips built around progression—multiple sessions per day, video breakdowns, drills, and serious time in the water. We’ve locked in a few locations. If you’re serious about improving, stay ready.
📲 More Accessible Content
We’ve been dropping a ton of educational content inside our community platform. Now, we’re bringing more of it to social media—real, useful, no-BS tips. Some content stays exclusive for members, but if you follow us, expect to learn something.
