The bottom is one of the foundations of surfing and is often underestimated.⠀

Many surfers skip the bottom and want to learn advanced maneuvers without being able to perform a controlled and well executed bottom.⠀

All tricks start following a bottom turn. If you’re not able to make a proper bottom, you’re going to have a hard time doing good maneuvers.⠀

It is one of the first turns to develop in surfing and is not only used by advanced surfers.⠀

Once you’ve learned how to go down the line, it’s time to start learning the bottom turn.⠀
