Ribeira d Ilhas Will Host the First Leg of the Liga Meo Surf 2021

Ribeira d Ilhas will host the first leg of the Meo 2021 surf league this weekend – Allianz Ericeira Pro.

The first stage of the national surfing championship will take place between 9 and 11 April in Ericeira.

Although the conditions are not the most exciting, we will be able to count on the best national surfers in Ericeira. Frederico Morais will not be present because he is competing at the WSL stage in Australia. However you will be able to watch surfers like Vasco Ribeiro, Afonso Antunes and the local boy Tomás Fernandes.

But surfing is not just for men and we will also be able to watch the best national athletes start the fight for the 2021 title.

The forecast are definitely not the best. The first two days will have a west swell – that is good for Ribeira d ilhas but with little strength and size. The south wind predicted for these days is also not helping. Sunday a new north swell is expected to enter. This one has a little more size but brings with it strong winds from the north quadrant. Let’s see how forecasts and conditions evolve.

We have no favorites but we would like to see Tomás Fernandes win again at home.

Join us in ribeira d Ilhas this weekend to see the best national surfers.

See you there.
